I got out for about 2hrs the other afternoon after work. Nothing amazing was found but much fun was had. I was hunting a park that I have been working for a few weeks. When I got there today I noticed the top section had been dug out and scraped... by bull bulldozers.

The dirt was pushed into piles just for me with about 4in of fill dirt gone. The dozer work had opened up some new spots and I was super happy about that. I worked it hard and only found 2 wheat cents and lots of clad. It was super trashy and I had to pick out the best targets. As you can see in the photo I had to dig a lot of trash to find what I did.

The only thing that really got me upset today was the last three times I was at the park I would sit under a 100 year old plus oak tree and relax in the shade enjoying a water. I looked down to the lower part of the park for that tree today and it was gone.

That tree was super healthy and I know for a fact that it was not a danger to the public by looking at the stump that was left. I do understand that the park needed a upgrade with new playground equipment ECT. I just don't understand why it could not have not been worked around. After all is a 2014 monkey bar set worth a healthy 100 year old tree?

I'm by no means a tree hugger or green peace nut. I just think if you have been around for around 100+ years you deserve some respect. Thank you for looking and best of luck on your next hunt
