Back at my 1800's spot that's given up Victorian gold and other goodies. Get a nice low tone 4 inches down. Dug my plug and flipped it over and there she was. My first solid gold watch. New exactly what it was and reached for my phone. Took some pictures while still half in the plug. Hands shaking I removed it from the dirt and guess what, made in China. I thought Timex was American made. Oh we'll, there's always next time. Thanks for looking. Gl HH Mike image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Nice!

If it was a wind up... It still might run.

Nah, not even worth the price of the battery. What was worth it though was the minute or so that I thought it was a real solid gold watch. Amazing what goes through a mans head in so little a time span, yet I can walk into the next room and forget what my wife wanted me to get! We are a special breed. GL HH Mike.

I know that shaky, heart stop feeling. You have to admit, it's fun while it lasts.

Just remember, sooner or later it WILL be the real deal. It's just a matter of time, patience and work.

Been there, done that. At least 5 times, Iv'e only seen one gold really turn up. The second day I ever detected I thought I'd found a gold coin. The soil had turned a 65 quarter yellow, swore I had a gold coin at first!

Finding watches is a uncommon thing for me but getting a gold one would be like mission impossible !! Still I can understand the thrill of seeing the yellow there =)
