Got out for a little hunting over the weekend. A couple of little hunts yielded one wheatie and some clad.

Sunday morning, I met up with Smittyman (of TNet fame). We went to a house that he had permission on, of course he took all of the good looking parts of the yard, and left me just a little strip of weeds and briars to hunt in. All of a sudden, I get a nice high tone... almost sounds like a silver quarter... I dug a plug and there it is... a ring... sure enough, says "sterling" on the inside. Has a "S" combined with a "W" hallmark too. That put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

Thanks for looking and good luck.

He might've taken all the good spots, but he sure didn't take all the goods! LOL

Nice ring!

There is no good spot, I usually let my partners go ahead of me, they find some of the good stuff but clear out signals so I can concentrate on the deep stuff. Nice diggs

More beautiful silver for your collection.
So, who REALLY got the best spots at that hunt??

It just goes to show you; you can never prejudge or assume anything based on outward appearances.
Congratulations.

Let me set the record straight - that line that I've quoted is straight up BS. There are two ways to tell if Carolina Tom is lying - his lips are moving or his dirt grubbing little fingers are typing slanders on a TNet forum. Quite often both. Since he's given me the bad rep I guess I'll be snaking the best places every chance I get from now on.

The ring did clean up nice! Congrats!
