Silver Totem Pole

I went out after work for a little swinging.

I hit the 2 acre lot that gave up the three Mercs earlier in the week. I wasn't there 5 minutes and I got an odd sounding high tone. Since I found silver here, all high tones get dug up. I dig down about 5" and out comes a little silver screw.. damn... wait a minute, I wipe it off, and low and behold, it's a little (1.5") totem pole. I turn it over and the back of the wing says ".925". It's not very old or valuable, but I think that it is really cool.

I also found two harmonica reeds, a rusty junk ring and some zinc cents.

Wow Tom, really cool totem pole, may be from Alaska or the north west. I bet it was really a surprise to find in your area, it would be here.

That silver is way cool, good job. Harmonica reeds are a favorite of mine, they are a good indicator find that your on a good site. hit that again and again from all different angles, grid low and slow like your mowing the grass. Every blade, and dig everything that repeats.
Nice finds, I'm hitting the road tomorrow after hunting with George, I'll be in central south PA. I'm selling my old outboard to someone and I'm going to spend the night out there and try and get a good permission while I'm there.

That's a really nice find.
Pretty soon you'll have to rent out a storage unit for all of that SILVER at the rate you're goin'.
