I have posted below pictures of my finds from my last 3 outings. Seven silver coins from 3 different parks! My last silver coin dug today was my 500th dug up Mercury Dime! Believe me, it took a long time to get to 500!
Also found a beautiful sterling silver dragon pendant that was about 5 inches deep. The 1925 Standing Liberty Quarter was about 6 inches deep, it was a big surprise because it was my 2nd SLQ out of this park in two months! ground is bone dry due to our Calif. drought. Once the ground gets some moisture from some rain I will be able to punch down a little deeper. Also dug up 11 wheaties.

500! that is a crazy number. Does it get old? BTW, if those are Tootsie toys, those are the ones that are worth something.

Up to a year and a half ago, I only found one. The past 18 months I have found over 30. Silver is hard for me to come by, but I seem to find more Mercs than anything else.

500 eh?? I only need 499 more to catch up to you. That shouldn't take too long.

The whole pile of loot is awesome.
Congrats.

Congrats on hitting 500 mercs! Awesome 925 pendant. No one needs to tell you to keep at it...

I read on this site not long ago of a thread starter that had just completed his SECOND SET of dug mercury dimes. If you have 500 and are missing many still, I wonder just how many the guy that has dug 2 complete sets has actually dug.

It never gets old! I still get a kick even if it's silver Rosie dime!

I'm actually a late starter at this hobby compared to some guys I know, some of the older guys I know started this madness back in the 1960's and early 1970's. Some of these guys have 2,000+ Mercs. I'm just going out hunting once or twice a week, some guys go out 5 or 6 times a week. I saw that same post of the complete set of dug mercs a couple of years ago, that guy must have dug 3,000!
