First beach hunt - Virginia Beach, VA - 10/3/2014

Finally made it to Virginia Beach yesterday after work. Spent about 4 hours between 5th and 10th street with my Tracker IV. Had sensitivity set about 3 o'clock and discriminate was about 12 o'clock. I dug EVERY hit I got.

Most of the finds I had were around the shell line (tide was going out) and closer to the boardwalk.

First find was just at the bottom of the steps for the 8th street stairs - metal carabiner.

Lots of bottle caps and trash but did find some coins - 1996 quarter, 2004 dime and pennies...oldest was 1986.

Worst thing was it cost my $10 for parking

That sucks. But at least you were on the beach. Better than any day in the office. Good luck. WH

sorry stvnford, the beaches here have been pretty sanded in fora while now....hopefully the conditions will improve!
