4 hr woods hunt, Merc and 5 wheats!

Second day of hunting with my new Deus, first day don't count because I didn't ground balance right. lol haaaaa. Yesterday I only hunted two hours, one hour at the spot I was at today.


Nice hunt, seen deer, beautiful weather and I seen this box turtle (I like turtles!)



I was hunting for awhile with no real finds when I got to this area I had found a wheat last year hunting with Oldjerseygirl. So I tighten it up a bit and hit a wheat, then I started gridding, hit the 1939 Merc next then four more wheats.

WhatIfind knows the deal, still have to get a coil over it. Only way I would have known is if I drug the other two detectors through that woods and done a comparison. I can tell you that woods is riddled with iron, there was an enormous amount of traffic there. This was same place I pulled a Rosie about a week back with the ctx.

That place killed my MXT. Twice. Never did get back with a working machine. Glad you hit something. Never hunted out.

I'm running a program that J. Vance helped me load, George has been running this same program. That program is for running in iron infestation. From what Iv'e seen and what I have been told, in iron you can't beat it. I have been reading Sabisch's book, and according to them and Deus, that machine can be set up for whatever conditions your hunting. I believe it. I'm sure once I completely learn how to do that, I will have a serious machine to hunt with. My opinion about the CTX is it is a deep silver monster and what it tells you is gospel truth. I know you can make the Deus waterproof, but the CTX already is waterproof. I bet the CTX could be set up for any type of conditions just like the Deus. Its nice having three machines I can carry in my new golf bag,lol Time will tell, and there will be times I will check each machine against each other. At this point, Both are super machines.
