Hello fellow T netters it's been a long while since I have posted anything but wanted to post only something worthy and man did I find them. So my neighbor half mile up the road from lives across from an old horse barn he said it dates back easily over a hundred years so with his permission I go over and started swinging and he told me about an old house that was up there that had an stone foundation now the house had burned down and over the years it has become over grown but there were a few spots I was able to swing around and about a week ago from today I found a colonial copper coin dates between 1735&1785 can't make the date out but it is in olive oil now and I can barely make out 1783 totally reached but for me totally awesome to find considering I just started this amazing hobby this year. Now today I get there and I find a ton of buttons a silver platted spoon and fork and a vintage dime bank holder? I'm not entirely sure what it is I'm hopping someone will be able to tell me anyways enjoy the pics and thanks for reading

HH

Nice find. Could be a Connecticut copper or a King George.

Definitely a Connecticut copper then. Either 1785 or 1788. Probably 88 if you're seeing a 3.

Yes it is a dimebank holder. If you Google "THE B.&R. MFG. CO. NEW YORK" it shod bring up some that are similar to the one I found. Maybe you'll find a match. Not sure how long they were used but mine was patented on Aug 26. 1890 and Mar. 31. 1891 if that helps. :)

Congrats on your first colonial coin, it does not look to be a Britannia because of what lettering I can see in the picture, maybe a Connecticut copper, what does it say?
