Tried a few different places today, an old site came up with nothing but what looks like a mini ball, the woods where I found a old pocket watch but not too great because the crystal is plastic, and my first pull tab signal ended up being a 1973 10 karat gold class ring!

Another really cool find was a railway token for the San Francisco Railway I wonder if it was for the trolleys. Thought it was kind of funny finding a San Francisco token in New York the week after the Giants got beat up by San Francisco 49ers, bad reminder, lol.

Enjoy the photos.

Great finds. I got 3 pocket watches this season and 1 last season all junkers, but still fun to see coming out of the hole. Odds are in my favor the next one may be a good one.

Does this mean that the person who lost the ring is wearing a pull tab?
That is a honker of a ring!

Nice finds!

A little info on your railway token. Used primarily for the SF Muni buses and streetcars. In fact as of last year, these tokens were still legal fare for buses and trams. SF used them exclusively up until the 50s and then shelved them for awhile before reintroducing them in the mid 1960s.

The token itself was made by The Scovill Manufacturing Company of Waterbury, Connecticut. The Scovill Company was established in 1802 as a button manufacturer and is still in business today.

Pretty cool.

To read more about the token and its origin check this Smithsonian website: San Francisco Municipal Railway Token | National Museum of American History

That is a great pulltab lol. Nice gold, are you thinking of making a return?

Coinman123,

Already started the process of looking for it's original owner. I am in touch with the Alumni association. I'll give them a year to find the person.

Very nice, congrats my friend! What settings were you running on the Deus, if you dont mind of course? Remember what the VDI reading was?

First Program I was using VDI was at 71/72 18K freq, Reactivity 2, Disc 8, TX 2, Iron Audio 0, Audio Resp. 2

went to another program to observe, same settings except 12K freq VDI was 60 something can't remember

I also examine the X/Y display in Advanced screens it was not all over the place like foil or bottle caps. Pull Tabs can fool you on the X/Y screen , they can look like good conductors but most of all I can't explain how but this signal JUST SOUNDED GOOD!

Nice find! I found a whole hand full of gold rings the other day, unfortunately they all turned into pull tabs as soon as the sunlight hit them.
