Hello all! I got out with a couple friends yesterday & we stumbled onto a great colonial site. I found the knee buckle about a foot down & it was on from there. I found another English bullion weight with a lion mark on top of the ground! The first one I found was a 4 pennyweight, this is 3 (hence the 3 dots). This was also a different site from the first. I also found some nice buttons, a lot of lead & some mystery items (any help appreciated!)

My buddy found the cut 8 reale pillar dollar I included (amazing find!) He also found the copper Spanish cob. I'm posting with the hope that someone can help ID & give a date range. I also included an image of a beautiful set of silver colonial cufflinks my other buddy found.

It was a beautiful day to go find some relics & hang out with some good friends. It was awesome to stumble on an undiscovered site & save some history. Thanks for looking & HH!

You guys had a great day Josh. Some nice quality finds for sure. Have you had any luck ID'ing that copper coin? I sent your pics to my friend but haven't heard back yet. I'll let you know when I do.
I still haven't got a positive ID on it. The only similar cobs are either gold or silver, I have yet to find one that's copper & features the cross & shield. There's a possibility it's counterfeit. I posted in the What is it forum & have received some good info but not a solid ID. Thanks again for reaching out to your friend, hopefully he can provide some info.

You should also post it in the Spanish Cobs forum. I got some solid assistance from some knowledgeable folks over there a couple times.

You guys got on some nice old finds!

It's rare for us to see some of those things since the sites that have stuff that old hardly show up anymore, and you guys found some quality stuff for the age!

Well done

That's one heck of a place to swing a coil. So many great finds there. The cuffs are beautiful. The silver, cob and bullion weight are all killer. Some nice looking buttons and knee buckle frame. Posts like this definitely give me motivation to get out. Keep at it. The finds are very impressive.
