Thank heavens for clad, and a half!

With the weatherman throwing around that four letter word, I figured I needed at least
one more hunt. Actually, I'm feeling like there will be more.

But, anyway, my last hunt was basically a relic hunt and that's not what my fan base wants. ( LOL)

Like vino who thinks I'm only capable of finding clad. ( LOL )

At least it makes my posts shorter, hopefully less boring.

Counting down the year with an unknown number of hunts left, here's today's:

That's a good amount of quarters, I guess people don't bother to pick up the clad change any more! All the more for us!
I now have Internet but have other things going on & haven't been out the past 2 weekends so no posts. I have to get out before the tundra is a block of ice, the cost of ranting a back hoe has gone up!

Yeah, the sound on an ATP is just about as sweet a sound as you're want to hear. Depending on depth and trash. It pops up as a clear, solid 90-92. In any direction.

Hope you find one but if you don't, I can lend you one of my clads to see what it sounds like.

Ya know, it was found in sort of a funny place, just not where one might expect to find one. When I got the 90 signal I said to myself, looks like one of my rides has shown up, (hot wheel). They usually ring in the same range. When I saw a half, I was just pleasantly surprised. Made my day! Not silver? Who cares.

They show up sooooo infrequently. I was pretty happy.

I found that clad dollar few months back, I kept trying to knock off that dirt to see the silver that wasn't there. I still loved that clad dollar.
Don't kid yourself or us, you would of cared if it ended up silver! I already know for myself and you it wasn't the end of the world, you would of cared, lol.

Cared if it was silver? Or maybe a gold coin? That's a given and an obvious. BUT, once I see what something is, no amount of wishing is going to make it better and feeling less than joy at finding something this fine. Well, it just lessens the fun by the measure of disappointment. So, I reiterate, who cares.

If you listen close enough you can sort of tell the difference though. The Hot Wheels will make a slightly jumpy signal. Probably from the mixed metals. The half dollar? It is a solid 90, in all directions! At least, on the ATP.

Hey I love finding clad myself, the relic spots I have been going to if you find one penny there that is most likely the coin count for the day !

Oh heckfire! This wasn't my relic hunt. Not by a long shot. Ya see, some like Vino think I'm only capable of finding clad, (not a "real" hunter, ya know? LOL ).

So, this hunt was to prove his point, a clad hunter, all the way!

As far as not being far enough out for relics? Where do you suppose the relics started? Before they got way out there! LOL

Also, when I've hunted a place long enough it kinda becomes a relic hunting place. Ya know?
