First I want to thank Vino for helping me with the settings on the XP Deus. Thanks a lot!

This is my haul from the last few days -2 fields containing 3 sites. I'm still new to the Deus and trying it out on my heavily hunted colonial fields. I really had the Deus fined tuned yesterday with help from Vino. Got the 1817 large cent, the GII halfpenny and the 2 Spanish cut reales yesterday on a 6 hour hunt. All the stuff in the pouch came out yesterday and I am convinced there are more silver pieces waiting in the iron beds.

What a great six hours! Two cut silvers and a silver thimble, makes for a awesome hunt throw in all the other coins and relics make for one hell of a day! Looks like you have it dialed in good! HH!

Forgot this beautiful little glass gem cuff link! Almost lost this thing!

Also a pic of the coins and bronze thingy before I washed them off.

If that was in fact a heavily hunted site then I'm getting a XP Deus! I would have thought you were on virgin soil based on the quantity and quality of your finds. Congrats on a great day.

Those are the kinds of finds I'm looking for every time go out detecting!
sometimes a new set of eyes to give you a new perspective on a site is all it takes to make new discoveries.
your new set of eyes is your new detector, it sees what the old ones did not

Its crazy. I really owe Vino for the settings. If I had not seen it with my own eyes I wouldnt have believed it. All these sites have been pounded good and these sites all produced many coins inc cut Spanish. Maybe 15 Spanish all told? Anyway, there is more I bet! Hunters kicked me off the 2 site field until Feb! :BangHead:

Very nice finds CP. The Deus is an awesome machine, and Vino is an awesome hunter. The combination of the two spelled success for you. GL&HH!

Great stuff, plus the 1600s Irish Halfpenny you didn't mention.

Yep. Got that one on the previous days hunt with a lot of the relics and the 2 nicer tombac buttons. Came out of the heavy iron area. This is where I am now prohibited from swinging until Feb. 1st.

Awsome hunt CP. If ur finding stuff like that in the iron.Settings are one thing, but really knowing the deus talk is another..
Seeing the size of some of them finds i know they were just a wisper..
You were really paying attention.
Nice job..
Also if you weren't on a good site they wouldn't be there..

Well your kind Vino but really it was your settings that opened my mind. I picked these sites because of the insane amounts of iron and as I was saying over in the Deus forum. The LOWER I set the sens in the thick iron spots the more signals I got. I changed the TX pwr to 1 and as I said ran ZERO disc and ground at 2 below true value and I could not move for signals. Now most of em were lead bits but any of those couldve been a cut piece on edge. Dont think most people could deal with all the noise but thats what it took to wake up the site.

Now we need XP to come up with a setting to quiet down all the signals say 10 and under but at the same time with ZERO conventional disc. Then we'd have a monster!

Most people have told me not to try to create good signals from bad ones but thats exactly the point of this program. Amazing how the crappy signals became beautiful after disturbing the ground.

In heavy iron, I assume your using a variant of the P3 settings? That is very fast, I heard 3 tiny roman coins all next to medium iron.

If there is small silver there, the XP WILL find it.

OK, I see, this is pretty similar to how I run my XP GMP. Very noicy with no disc, but I mainly run my Ses high as well. I have no issues with hearing all the small iron etc, & they have improved the sound of this from the GMP, the Deus makes it much duller. However, it also made all the coins & buttons less singy. If any of that makes sense.

Its different then p3..It has the same reactivity..But you have to lower the sens.
82 to 85. Silencer 1 or 2..You will not get deep but you will see through the iron..
It all depends on ur site. As you are learning its not one setting for every site.
The more you put in on this detector the you get out..
It keeps impressing me..

P3? Reactivity 3/4, Sens 80/85, manual ground 87ish, silencer 1, no disc, iron vol 3. I ran audio at 5 to boost the weak signals but its a little tough on the ears.
