First coin dug in 2015 and it's silver

Went to a yard today and popped out this worn '44 Washington quarter, my first coin of the year. There was a nail in the hole with it so the signal was weird. I could only get a decent signal from one angle. My first year or two of detecting, I probably wouldn't have dug it. Dig 'em all boys and girls. I also found a cool padlock, probably from the 40's or 50's i'm guessing? HH.

Now that's a nice way to start 2015!, I really like the intricate detail on those old locks

Hello Everyone,

Very nice finds!

I agree with CladMaster, if you have the time; “dig’em all boys and girls”! Many of my friends only dig the high tones, this leaves the low and mid tones for me. Now I still dig all high tones, but the other two areas have been very productive for me for obvious reasons.

Regards,

My first silver for the year was yesterday. It was a 1950 silver quarter and it was a good 9-10 inches deep. I hardly could hear it down there and was surprised to see it.
