Sterling pendant found today

Found this sterling pendant today in an old field down from my house. Its probably not too old but it sure is a great find in my eyes

Very nice!! Sterling should have a little age to it....being it is marked Sterling.

I never considered that before. I suppose they did mark them sterling first. I wonder how long ago they started that tradition.
