My niece just had a baby so my wife and I gave her a birthday tree. They chose, a Granny Smith apple. I planted it for them today and asked if I could swing the detector around a bit. They moved in about three weeks ago. Nieces hubby told me the house was built in '34. Very small yard. Enormous amount of garbage. About a third of the yard had very compacted rock/gravel just under the sod. Maybe old driveway? A few clad but the only old coin was a 1911 Lincoln cent. Pretty corroded. All green and barely readable. Oh well. Got to use the detector a bit in the middle of the week which is rare for me.

Congratulations slow sweeper,
As you probably know, 1911 was only the third year of the Lincoln cent. You did well, for sure. Keep digging, there is probably more there.
