Found and restored - it's an early/mid 1800s doorknob!

I've done a few restoration projects with relics I've found but I'm not much of a relic guy to be honest. I have a stack of stuff right now that I'm working on including the bayonet I found last week, but this one has been my favorite so far. I found this at a colonial-to-mid-1800s home site I've been working for the past month or so, but I never got around to posting this. It was a rusted piece of junk when I found it, and I really wish I would've taken some "before" pictures. I ran it through electrolysis, and when I hit it with a wire brush after it was done I realized that the knob itself was copper. I put it back in to get a little more stubborn rust off, hit it with a wire wheel, and then preserved in beeswax. I think it came out awesome! The pictures totally don't do it justice either.
