2 trade tokens and my best military button

Checking out different parks today. Found a Navy button made by Waterbury button co. This is my best looking button ever. Could use some help with the ID and possible date. Also found 2 trade lottery tokens again, one for !0c and the other for $1.25 in trade. Thanks for looking

The closest button I can find in the Albert's book is May 1941. # 121B A naval aviator button if it has brown enamel and if I am reading it right. Nice finds!

In 1941 the U.S. Navy ordered that the button be changed to have the Eagles head facing to the right (left side of the button) button is either the Na 121B or NA 122

Yes it is. I'm sorry it's the 123 that has some copper in it. But the anchor angle doesn't look right so I think you were correct with the 121b id

You're in some good ground. There hasn't been a lot of phosphates or chemicals on the grass, or the 10 cent token would be corroded beyond belief. I've noticed that when a lot of fertilizer is used on lawns or in parks, the alloy type metals corrode very quickly, and much worse than other metals. The button is another indicator that the ground is very good. I think you might find some good coins there considering the age of the tokens, and their condition.

What's on the back of the tokens?

Just numbers. They are like from a lottery system. So far have found 7 of them, only a couple of each type of metal. My token guys say they call them Mavericks and the design and script is from the early 1900's

1941 was a very important year in American naval history as we all know. If the button had been found in a yard where you could connect a specific service member with it, that would have been nice. Maybe some more research into what the park was before will give you a connection.

During WWII there was a Naval training center here in the inland empire to keep the sailors away from the coast in case of a attack
