So yesterday i read about the 1944 steel pennys and how valuable it is!!!! Today i walk in the hobby shop looking for a detector and the first thing i see....... Steel penny!!!!! For $10!!!! Listen i couldnt pay the man fast enough!!!! Had him put the magnet on it an as soon as it picked it up i thru cash at him..... I bought that, a 1909 VDB(wanted it for my collection) thinking i got away with a STEAL he even thru in a 2cent piece!!! No date but still stoked...... All in all its not the Million dollar penny i thought it was(my luck i could of guessed that) but they do look nice in the collection!!!!!! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1429917807.770504.jpg

I have many many rolls of these steel pennies. I wish they were worth a lot, but I won't spend them...lol

At least the Dealer was really nice and giving you items worth what you paid as even without a Date, the Two Cent piece is probably worth $8 or more and if a faint date can be made out, then it is worth more! Many Dealers would have just taken the money for the 1943 Steel Cent and the 1909 Cent and laughed all the way to the Bank. Just kidding but maybe you should go back and buy a 1936 Buffalo Nickel from him for $20 and maybe he will throw in a fairly decent Morgan Silver Dollar!
