Every now and then, I just HAVE to take my walk on "new" ground. :)
I mean, every time out the same old places! I am limited but I don't have to
continually stay in the same places. ;)

Anyway, it would appear I have another LARGE park to add to my walks. I didn't see
any telltale signs that anyone else is hunting this place. I stayed on the higher end of the VDI
but would drop down on any lower one that interested me. Good thing too!

Here's the take:

2015 (243).jpg

See? Lots of quarters.

2015 (244).jpg

The lil ladybug is, (I think), bling with 4 lil "stones".
The turquoise ring is one of those adjustable kind, not marked.
But, it is of some pretty substantial metal. Haven't tested yet.
The badge/medal thing has to do with the "Demolay" and plated.
The one with the green stone? 10 kt and 4.5 grams.

Oh yeah! The pulltabs. All four of the jewelry pieces? I said "PULLTAB" !
but dug anyway. LOL

Sorry about the crappy pics but my regular camera didn't survive the
3 foot drop test. :dontknow:

Yeah, I think I may just have a "new" place to walk. :)

Thanks for peeking!

LOL,

I've dug a lady bug ring similar to the one you dug, but with a band. Seems like I surprise myself every time I get out and don't mind digging pull tabs and I usually end up with some strange piece of jewelry or button that rung up like a PT.

Haha, when I say "pulltab", it's always a pulltab! Glad you found a new spot to hunt, congrats on some really good finds.

It's hard not to get excited when we find a new place, isn't it? Looks like you have an item to spend the clad on now ~ a camera. Nice ring!

Humph.... I was really looking forward to seeing the pull tabs. (I've been duped again)

There are some awesome specimens that pop up every now and then on this site. I particularly like the vintage mid-60's pull tabs.

Maybe you will get lucky next time.

The other stuff is kinda cool, but nothing like a clean '65 PT.

I sure like your pull tabs better than mine! :notworthy: You don't have to worry about get'n into the house for a while! :icon_thumright:

Very nice finds congrats! A new place, that likes you! :hello2: hope you have many pleasant walks there!

I, like G.I.B., was looking forward to some colorful or at lest fancy bent up pull tabs, but I'll get over it! :laughing7:

So far my detector has called pull tabs rings ( and snickered) but has never called a ring a pull tab. :dontknow:
It has called a ring and a gold pendant a penny, but to be fair they had copper in them. :icon_scratch:

Well, I've started calling ones around 50 a nickle/tab hit. But, I try to decide between one or the other.
I've gotten pretty good at telling which ones are nickels, (just ask OD ;) )

But, this day was more about scanning a large section of a new park to see what sort of trash/signals it was
going to be. I was checking a few lower signals. The gold ring came across at 48, but a loud, strong one.

I commented, Wow! LOUD pulltab!! LOL

Thanks! Nice to have choices.

The Demolay piece would be Masonic/Knight Templar. Nice finds.

Interesting! I knew it was modern but didn't know about the Masonic/Knight Templar connection.

Thanks!

Preach on, brother Whadifind! The only thing I love more than the pull tab 52-55 VDI is the toasted Zincoln 63-69 VDI, which gives you bigger, heavier bling! Moral of the story, just swallow your pride and dig it up...congrats on the sweet gold ring! Sub 8-)

Interesting! I knew it was modern but didn't know about the Masonic/Knight Templar connection.

Thanks!

DeMolay was the Grand Master of the Knights Templar when they were suppressed. There is a modern Masonic organization that uses his name.

W I got a item that read just like a tab today, a small earing, pot-metal with a dash of gold-plate, was a fun find!
