Hoped to beat the storm (what storm?) last night and get a little more time on the Bay. Went up at around 2100, low was at 2200. Tide off pretty good, south west winds kept it flat for a little while and I was out in the water the whole time. Usual amounts of iron and crap to deal with and I was digging most everything (fooled by deep iron a couple times) but still managed to pull the little 10K, 1.1 grams, 12.03 on the CTX. Also found an old, broken pin/broach that is silver and another brass lipstick tube. Everything was deep and I left some massive craters in the water, I'd start out in waist deep water and end up chest/neck deep, standing in my own hole. Hate being only 5'8", I need some of that "Big Scoop" Rich kind of height!
Oops...this was gold #5 for the year
Storm never came, I could see the lighting SE past VA Beach proper but it never moved. Winds shifted and started coming from the north and with the tide coming up and I called it quits at 0000. Now...where to go today.......
