I just took my wife and mom out for Sunday lunch and decided to pull the car over at a look out spot over looking the Pacific Ocean. Right in front of
the parking lot was a large dirt and grass area above the ocean cliffs. I asked my wife if she didn't mind if I checked out the area real quick with my detector.
She said, "Go for it"! After just about 2 minutes out pops a wheatie from the 1920's! A few minutes later out pops a 1935-D Mercury dime! For the next 30 minutes
I pounded this small 50' X 100" square patch of dirt and dig out 20 coins! Three were wheaties, the oldest was dated 1919! This lookout pullover must have had
thousands of people over the years check out the view. There are literally thousand of places like this along Highway 1 on the Pacific Coast Highway, I'll have
to go back and hunt some more of them!
