SLQ, barbers, and a Merc....and it ain't no joke in this heat

Snuck away from work and went to a newer site. The ground was dust, the grass was half dead and mostly dust, the temp was 89 degrees, and humidity was 75%. It was rough out there.

Did about 2.5 hrs and got some great results. Dug a bunch of wheats and a few Indians. In between all them snagged two barbers (one with an almost hole), a Merc, and a 1923 SLQ in pretty good shape. Probably the best one out of the 9 I've found.

I think I overdid I today in the heat. My apologies for the lame and short post. I need AC and a BEER

Great coins! The only one I have managed out of those so far is a Merc.

You'll find a bunch more, just keep plugging away. You live in a great section of the country for some excellent finds.

Yeah, we were all pretty angry dudes. I heard you beat a kid with your detector for a silver coin he was holding mid February?

Damn how'd that get out? I told little Joey to keep his mouth shut!!

Nice silvers Steve, especially the SLQ. It's been a long time since I dug one of those.

Thanks Steve. I've had a string of standing quarters lately, but they've been shot to hell besides this one.

Some GREAT coins there. :headbang: yeah it's like that up here too. It rains once a week for about 30 minutes. But ...I like it a LOT better than the winter

I heard on the news yesterday that my area is in the middle of a moderate drought. When I say it's like dust here I mean it.

Beer just dehydrates you. Drink two beers and a glass of water.

Jeff, I really wish there were an S mintmark on there. I'm just staring at my coins this weekend since I can't get out - got two kids in tow!

Thanks Pescadore. I'll take a hot day like that anytime over staying inside babysitting.
