Penna RR Co. Lead seal, '63 IHP, silver, chape shoe Buckle

Had a chance to hit an older spot. Found a bunch of goodies ranging from a '63 Indian Head to '64 Roosie

My favorite was a Pennsylvania RR bale seal in real nice condition. It's difficult to tell the age so if anybody knows about "Penna RR Co. No. 16 NY" please let me know. I would think the date for this ranges from 1908-1920's, when Penn station was taking Pennsylvania RR traffic... Dunno really...

Finds are slowing down here but it was nice to score a few goodies. The Model T hubcap was a fun surprise. Also the double chape shoe buckle piece was a nice colonial (ish) find, and the only one of the day. The half cent is in the pic for sizing;) ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435189462.019925.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435189472.273245.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435189481.172380.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435189492.092826.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435189500.861224.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435189511.627427.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1435189523.755449.jpg

Hi, love the seal. They are also used as car door seals on railroad cars(from what I've read.) I've found only one, on a battlefield lost by a soldier. Looks like a site with some good, old potential.

Thx. The seal has me intrigued for certain. I'm hoping someone one here has some knowledge. I've found a lot of lead seals and this one seems "new" ie. early 1900's.

Nice seal. Most I see on here don't give as much identifying info.

Yeah, I threw that HC in for you George. Everyone uses quarters for sizing so I thought I'd mix things up! Lol

Thx Bill. This place spans well over 300 years so the possibilities are endless. Today I found a beauty 1734 KG. Go figure
