Three George Washington Inaugural Buttons in exactly thirty days! I found the first GW button on 28 May, the second on 20 June, and the third on 28 June. All three from different parts of the same property. All three appear to be GWI 12 with Heraldic Estoile square punch border, but I'm not entirely sure because I haven't cleaned the two most recently found. The most recent appears to be less worn but the shank is missing. Thanks for looking!

Those are some nice looking GW's! Congrats. It took me a year and a half to find my 3, which were all on the same site, but about in a 50 yard area. Hogge

That last unknown item looks to be a bridal rosette. copper/brass front plate, filled with lead on the back. The lead leeches onto the front, but can be cleaned off fairly easily.

Yes, I agree on the bridal rosette. Congrats on the finds! Those GWI buttons were sold in sets--I can't remember if there were 3 or 4 per set, but someone here will know. It'll tell you if there's potentially another one there waiting to be found.

:o Wonderful find , that's the entire set . Read somewhere in past threads these were sold as a three to a customer . You are driving the GW chicken hawk variety price down , still better then the scruffy turkey buzzard GW that I dug.

I had a feeling after you found #2 you would likely find more. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if a few more show up. Congrats on 3 finds that are very high on my list

Did you read that thread on Tnet? I'd like to see it if you don't mind copying and pasting it here?

I had the same feeling there were more there too, just didn't think I'd find another this soon. How high on your list? I'll trade you for your shilling lol... [emoji16]

Even one is a nice find, three makes it amazing! Makes me more curious about the spot I found mine if it needs better hunting a bit farther for others, cause I was mostly around the one general area where it was found, especially where they say they came in sets.

If I were you I would go back and search the surrounding areas. I found all three of mine in different fields around the same house. None were less than 100 yards from each other.
