Only a 1946 half penny but if you saw me when I found it you'd think I'd found GOLD. Got a 20c too.
Tried a new site where the old docks used to be when my town was first founded, the site is huge so it's gonna take me a while.
Pulled out stacks and stacks of metal pieces as well as bolts, nuts etc. Threw everything else in the bin except the square nail (which looks recent), the hook thingy and the shiny rock.
The rock is not metallic, it was in the hole with something else.
I think this site will be frustrating because of all the rubbish but I think it may come up with some goodies too.
Here's hoping for my first silver.
HH all.

Yarrum - Some nice finds there. Sounds like you might have yourself a treasure spot once you get through the trash. Hope you hit silver!

Well done with the pre-decimal and good luck with the site as it sounds like it has a lot of potential.

That's a nice haul there, Yarrum, and very eclectic.

I like the half penny best.

The rock brings a couple of things to mind: Obsidian as GrantWA has already said, or possibly Onyx.

Computer desk Goo Ga is also good.

Good luck with your new site, it sounds promising. HH Bluezman

That's weird, I got a George 6 today too...'47 Canada, but same guy. Somewhat common to find the money from up north here in Ohio, no Aussie change yet...maybe someday.

Very nice finds Yarrum. Congrats on a good hunt.
Could that rock possibly be a meteorite?

Don't think so Merf went out again yesterday and found the same pieces in a few different spots. No more coins (yet) but found enough junk to sink a ship.
