It really is no surprise to me why this hobby is sooooo addicting! It's the interesting finds!
Of course, I have a low threshold of interest. ;) But, EVERY time I go out, I always seem
to uncover things that just plain keep me interested! LOL

Won't get rich with these but, still....:

This little butterfly is from the last hunt I posted.
He's back now for Subterranean. Subby ole pal?
Does this help your OCS? ;)

Fishy seems happy. :)

My favorite piece is this book mark. Nice old piece. Copper I think.

I don't know if this is a depiction of a particular person
or just a generic decoration. :dontknow:

2015 (429).jpg

Decisions! Decisions! ;)

2015 (430).jpg

But, someone tell me, just what ARE they teaching the kids nowadays? :icon_scratch:

Thanks for peeking!

Yep, definitely a woman. But I'm not sure if it's supposed to be someone famous or just a decoration.

Thanks!

Gary, I really really like the bookmark. Normally cleaning would be out of the question, but I believe some Brasso would really help that ole girl out. I like that one!

I thought about that too. But, it seems a real shame to trash the patina that this piece took years to acquire. I don't know if this is actually very old. It may have been lost recently but be a very old piece. Wishful thinking? :icon_scratch: Well, why not? :)

I may clean it, but, I do kinda like it the way it is now.

Thanks!

Very cool array of finds! Congrats!
So you got Blingie to give back the, uh hmm, butterfly bite, then Fishy bites the apple! Are you feeding those two ?
That's quite a surprised look on the skull, did he think he was next on the menu?
I guess you get the yellow car this go round.
Very nice book mark. Looks like a young lady on the profile. I don't know the answer to the question, maybe someone will know, if not it will be one of those lingering mysteries!

I got out...another locked tot lot, so I went to another school, nothing special except the message. I asked for a goody, and the thought came to me "that's not why you do this." Which is correct. :laughing7:
I'm looking forward to Sunday go'n to "the field" there was an event held there recently! :hello2:

Whadi, Thank you for letting me sleep again, as all is well in the world. The butterfly is beautiful and nice job on the restoration. As for this day's finds, very COOL! I really like the book mark, you don't see those dug too often. Glad to see you are out there having fun! Sub 8-)

Thanks for the nice words.

Well, getting that message is far and away more important than anything you could dig up. I've watched Him adjust my path several times just to get me over something that needed to be found. Sometimes, even digging a pull tab does the job. For He knows how I'll change my swing/path after I stand up again. When I do find something "good", I always look around at just how big the area is and here I am, over this particular square inch! LOL

It is hard for us to give up the control. We want to go where WE want! Where WE think something might be! Try allowing Him to take you, after all, we just think we know where something is, He KNOWS! :)

Enjoy your hunt on Sunday!

As you can see, there is some sort of marking on the lower right.

It's funny, but I think I've seen this face and this marking before, just can't place it.
But, in any case, ain't she lovely? :)

There's another post with the detail on that one, but it says:
"HECHO EN MEXICO DF 925 , with "FM" in the center.

Nice clean up on the book mark. I have the same feeling that I've seen her face before. Might those be initials of the portrait artist?

I would think so. I also suspect that this might turn out to be a modern replication of something old. Only because of the way this seems so familiar.

Thanks!
