Hit the morning tide and got a large 13.7 grams 14k amethyst ring for ring number 100 and also got number 101 and a silver

Just out of curiosity, if you don't mind divulging your method to a water nub, how do you decide where to search with so much shoreline? I seem to be lost and not really knowing what to even look for in determining a good spot to search...Brad
