Met up with Nepa-Will this morning for some woods hunting, lemme tell ya it was hotter than freakin Bagdad out, and the bugs were terrible, I swear will was trying to kill me lol, lasted a little over an hr and decided jeans, humidity, and bugs weren't a good mix, will had to go home, so i changed into shorts and headed for a permission I tried to secure in may, the lady gave me her number and said call In September, she gladly said yes so I hit it as best I could in the blaring sun and humidity, 1st target was the 43 merc, managed a 1898 barber, 1888 indian, no date buff, a neat agricultural pin, and 13 wheats, lock, and pocketwatch, man I can't wait til fall, there's plenty of more yard left, thanks for looking and hh!!

You killed it Chris! I know what you mean about the heat. It messes up your swing, concentration, and energy level. Considering all you destroyed it

Great hunt Chris,
That lock is killer, never seen one like that before.
I know you went right over a few IHs, with the date of them coins.
After you dig all the high tones you clean the rest up
Im sure!!! Lol

Its been so hot and dry here you just can not dig. I hate to dig up someone yard and then leaving and my dig turns brown and then it blows out when they cut the grass.

I remember those FFA pins from my high school days. They were gold tone I believe. Must feel good just to get out.

Thanks steve, yeah it was tough concentrating, I was so hot, I called it quits early I think I was dehydrated, started getting a pounding headache

Great hunt. Love the pin and padlock.

thanks George, ill admit I kinda cherry picked a bit, it was too darn hot out to be methodical, most of my grounds were in the sun w/o shade!

Thanks, I explained to the homeowner the possibility, she said "psssh, look at the rest of the yard, who cares" lol, made my life easier lol!!!

Nice digs, nice to find some silver. The old padlock is pretty sweet with the little scene on it. Good job!

Great day!!

There should be more there waiting for you to return. Maybe before you make that return trip you'll get a couple days of rain to help even more.

What are you going to tell me come winter. " it's too cold". Wish I could have stayed out, but the only bucket list I was working on was the one the wife gave me. Glad you were able to turn the day around. Great finds! The lock is awesome

A lot of great finds posted there . And some time ago I found a huge sterling silver ring associated with the future farmers of America the FFA.
