2 silvers and 2 buttons in 2 days - help me identify this button please

The metal detecting gods are shining down on this newbie. Yesterday I found my first silver coin and today I found my second. And it's another first for me, 1942 Mercury


I also found another button. I would greatly appreciate any help. The lyre, or harp, is raised and gilded, flat back with a screw



Is it an army marching band button, something confederate? Cannot find a match on the Google .... What is it?

Also found 32 cents of clad. The last two days have been really good.

Thanks guys. That info helps some. It would be nice to find a match on Google. Cannot find one, all of them are different.
I live close to several museums and army supply stores. Maybe try those?

Casper is correct on the time period, though I do not believe it is military (could be wrong as I am no expert on WWI or WWII items) but believe it to be from a marching band.

Thanks guys. ^^ I'm starting to believe it's a marching band uniform collar disc as well.

From the little research I've been able to do so far, it appears that the military didn't start using these multiple piece collar discs until maybe the mid 1930s? And then, the enlisted bandsman discs are different in every way. Unless these were for a specific type dress uniform I'm leaning civilian.

something i recently discovered and wanted to share. im sure some several coin hunters know this but MDers might not. The 1942 Merc Dime can be a special coin. Some were minted with with a bad die and there is a 1942/41 stamped on top of each other. The dimes kind look like the dates read 19412 where the last 1 & 2 are stamped over each other. This can be a $400 - $1500 coin so if you have any 1942 Mercury Dimes, be sure to go back and check them for this mistake.
