I found three more rings. A junker, not pictured, Then a vintage ring marked Avon Sterling Spain. It's made similar to a spoon ring which Avon also made. Then a 10K man's wedding ring with four small diamonds.

Anywho, I was driving to one of my regular spots when I thought hmm there's a park about a mile from here I haven't been to for a while, let's go there. Was a good choice. =)

I was curious why the ring has holes drilled on the inside of the ring? There's five holes. They aren't equally spaced and they only go half way through.

the ring with the holes is hollow. I assume the holes allow for the molding process. kinda gross on my end at my job when I size or repair a used one because they are almost always packed full of grime and soap scum. really stinks when you put a torch to it to work on it. ~bleh~

Wow you're right. After reading your post I cleaned it out and I can totally see where it's hollow.
That's a first for me.
I can imagine how it stinks with burning gunk inside. Yuckk!

I figured there was a jewelry guy out there who would know what the deal was.
Thanks for your help!

It's super light for the size. It's 3.5 grams.

I don't know if this is what the holes are intended for or not but they make excellent drain holes. Water can get in there past the diamonds and without the holes I can see the ring being full of water.
