"Hunted Out" High School Circa. 1916

Our county has one consolidated High School, which was built in 1916, a new one was built at another site a few years ago. People have been over the grounds with various metal detectors over the past 30 years. While I have found probably 500 or more coins there over the past 10 years, I found my best coin ever there a few years ago. I am posting this now because I have only recently started to discover what it is. It is some type of Spanish Reale. It dates 1810. It is amazing that this coin would be left at this site. It was found 1 inch down under the old football bleachers, which are original to the site. I went there this evening, and in 30 minutes, found $3.00 in clad and the scanned 1909 Wheatie. A week or so ago, I found the '52 Rosey(which is also pictured). I have also found many teen wheaties over the years, as well as, a 1920's Merc, and a Buffalo Nickle. No site is ever hunted out!

Welcome to the forum Minton! :) Good job on finding good coins in "worked out" areas. They are never cleaned out if you hunt carefully.
