Hit a cellar hole and found a German silver broach, a Seaboard railways baggage tag, an OD nickel and a gold plated whatsit.

Really nice brooch, and I'm a big fan of the old baggage tags.

The silver broach is really nice. The baggage tag is sweet too... but, the OD nickel makes me smile!

Congrats.

Wonder what that plated piece is? Very nice silvers and really neat baggage piece. Some rail buffs collect those.

The plated piece is a mystery so far. I can't decide if it's broken/cut at the bottom but if it was cut it looks clean like it was done on purpose. You would think if it was gold plated it was something that was meant to be be seen. I can only guess that it was hung by the hole that is in it.

nice finds! Is it a silver brooch from Germany, or a "German silver" piece?

German silver piece. Amazing detail but no real silver. I would love to know a date though, seated have been found in the same location. Nice eye testing 123!
