Haven't been out much, and have not posted in awhile.
In the last 2 weeks, i have managed to get out 2 times. The first time, i got a couple barber dimes and mercks. Some IHs, and what I believe is the top of a silver match safe.
Today was a different story.
I had a few hours to kill, and I was close to a spot that has been sooo good to me over these last 2 years.
My choice today was to pick a hot area and dig everything! I mean iron and everything.
Well, it worked out!! Alot of work but it worked out. I cant believe how much is still in this place being masked! I bet I haven't even scratched the surface???
All these keepers, and not 1 great signal.
Lets take for example the LC. It had 4 pieces of round iron in the hole.
When the LC popped out I was dumb founded. Like, NO WAY??? LOL
Anyway just wanted to share my experience today with my peeps. Haha.
This is why there is soooo much stuff still in the ground.
The capped is a 1827, same as my half I dug in the summer. The 1/2 reale is 1800. The LC is 1837.
I even found a Canadian LC, and a young Victoria 1872.
The Louisiana tax token is really cool
And I always like fatty IHs. Its a 1863.
Thanks for looking, and it goes to show, DIG EVERYTHING if the site is old!!!
George

Another killer hunt Vino! Love those silvers, buttons and everything man. Will be very interested to hear about the AC button. Its hard work, but digging all those crappy signals at the right sites, is totally worth it. Another sick hunt from a pounded site. I've been doing a similar thing this year at my main site with similar results... its a real rush getting a clump of dirt from the bottom of a hole and hearing a nice high tone in it.

Those pictures of the silvers and coppers on that black velour are just amazing. The person that came up with that is probably a borderline genius and a really great relic hunter. :laughing7: You could probably put a pile of pull tabs on that black background and get another banner up top.... its just that good.

My good friend, with Anal compulsive issues told me to use black background. Even went as far as giving me the lot numbers for the right Velour. .Haha..

I'd love to dig everything, but I think I would lose many permissions. I doubt if they want their yard to look like a WWI battlefield or an archaeological dig site. You are the man when it comes to great finds. I swear you and Scrappy have to be related somehow. As always, awesome finds, loved the post and pics. Keep it up, I will need some dirt fishing porn to view after the ground freezes here in Ohio. :notworthy:

Thanks LD,
Im sure my hunting will be coming to a end soon.
If I was at a home site, dont think I would be digging a bounce of holes like that.

Can't get any truer than that one George.

Great hunt! I wish I could produce anything remotely close to your examples by digging the iron out, but there's hope that it's hidden further down and it'll just take time. So congrats on the silvers and coppers, and have fun digging the next 50lbs of iron out.

Ah WOW! Don't know what else to say! I have been digging more "iffy" signals amongst trash and have found a lot more Indian heads, and found my first seated dime earlier in the year. After seeing this post I'm going back to some previously hunted sites to see what I can find.
Congratulations!! Enjoy HH

GREAT HUNT!!!!!! Congrats on the awesome variety of finds! I love iron infested sites, there's always nice squeaks hiding under the blanket of grunt. It's a great challenge and feeling to find something and to isolate it from the iron grunt. :D

I think my favorite little find is the change purse. Might be where a lot of the coins from that site originated. Very nice spot to hunt.
