Ok, so the 1st one of 2016 is complete. I think I'm gonna like 2016

Ok, so now I've got the first one of 2016 under my belt. I was a lil
worried about the first one. Afraid I might get skunked and set a bad
precedent for the new year. ;)

Also, was wondering if my new way of hunting was going to continue or
just flash out. I intentionally went to three different places on my last three
hunts to specifically try the new techniques out on different scenarios.

I gotta say, I am very pleased with the results!

Anyway, here's my first hunt of 2016:

2016 (1).jpg
2016 (2).jpg

Not sure what it is but seemed fitting for today. LOL

2016 (3).jpg 2016 (4).jpg

Not sure what it is but it reminds me of one of those emblem type things
you see on the front of a ring. Maybe mounted to the stone with those nubs?
Non magnetic. :dontknow:

2016 (5).jpg

A deeply buried but still very nice Wheatie.

2016 (6).jpg

Decisions! Decisions! LOL

2016 (7).jpg

The big ring is non-magnetic, seems to be of an older style,
and it appears to have some markings inside but the type of
wear on the inside makes it very hard for me to make out anything.
I'll have to work on it.

2016 (8).jpg

It does seem to be crafted well. I think it might just clean up too.
There's a bit of a brass coloring to the base and sort of silvery on top
in places. Not like a plating but rather a coating. :dontknow:

2016 (11).jpg

This one is marked .925 India

2016 (9).jpg 2016 (10).jpg

I believe I like Fishy's choice best though! Marked as you see, with "UNO-AR" on the clasp.
A little more than 4 grams.

Yes, I do believe that I just might begin to like this new year.

Thanks for peeking and Happy 2016!!

Way to blast out of pole position and score silver and other goodies. Whatever your new technique is, it is working. Keep it up and happy hunting. Sub 8-)

The big ring does look well made and older. Looks like your method is working just fine! Congrats on the nice job.

Thanks!

Ya know, I was just beginning to figure out my "technique" when we hunted last. Look at the result. In a park, hit many, many times, not too, too deep and I found that antique letter opener! Yeah, I think I'm beginning to figure something out. ;)

Happy New Year!
