61 degrees and sunny, felt like spring. I had a nice three hour hunt at the spot the owner said I wouldn't find anything, lol. Found my second ever Fatty, 1859 and some cool buttons
Enjoy the pix

Well done Brad.

Those silly property owners always tell me that too. Last time I heard that, I found a Walker!

Best of luck to you brother!

Nice outing!

I wonder, did the owner who said you wouldn't find anything want to keep any of what you didn't find? ;)

Don't you just love it when they say that. It then becomes a personal mission to prove them wrong. I always find something when someone says I wont, or there were 20 people here before you. I wish they would all say it. Nice finds. I like the buttons.

Thanks Tom, you too!

Thanks Gary
The owner kept telling me no, he kept repeating himself. "my family has pounded this place for years, you won't find anything" I just kept telling him, "it's never hunted out totally, besides it will just be nice spending time outside on your beautiful property"
I told him after he said ok go do it, good luck, that if I find anything interesting I'll be sure to show you. I'm waiting until I'm almost done, I'm afraid now if I show him all the stuff Iv'e found, he might tell "the family" and I'll get the gate!

Nice finds, like that fatty IH...
Me too....
Thanks bud....

A Shoe buckle it looks like? Really like the spiral button. Early bling :)

Which produced more, field or woods? Which was where the targets were deeper? Just comparing to where I am.

Field was deeper, yes a busted shoe buckle, the woods borders the field with that cellar hole in the corner. I'm going back to that area to grid some more tomorrow. The Fatty was one inch down, fifteen ft into the field.
