Got out before more bad weather is heading our way. Beautiful outside today!!! Did not find much, but just getting out and spending quiet time with the MD is awesome!

Found this "ring" type thing that came out of the ground as you see it (Shiny) about 8" down. Looks gold in color and maybe a ring but it is really light and thin. ANY THOUGHT?

Also found a small heart and an old GE fuse (not sure of age).

Pretty. Might it be a fancy napkin holder?

Nice find! No doubt that's a ring. Sometimes the people wear them for so long the markings wear off. Maybe that's why it's so thin. They just wore it out.
I've found gold rings with no markings. Or barely visible markings.
Good job!

Looks gold to me also. The dinged (damaged) area on the outer rim appears to have the same coloring as the band, possibly and indicator that it is NOT a plated piece. Have it tested for sure. Combo kits that test for gold, silver, and platinum are inexpensive and a must for detectorists. I got one off of Amazon. Best of luck, Sub 8-)

THANKS EVERYONE! I dug it from a place that I have been hitting some civil war finds. There are NO markings inside and out. I figured I would ask the group and again...you all did not fail me. Love this site.
