Need help identifying

Can anyone help me identify these. The first looks like a copper and the second, i can see united states of america and a date of 1900 and on the back you can see its clearly a dime but its made like a button or cuff link.

Could it be a 1900 "barber button"? Never heard of or seen anything like it! [emoji106]

Idk the dime is like beveled in and the other button kinda looks like the presidential seal

The first button looks like the one I found today and posted along with some other things under todays finds. If so it is a WWI US ARMY Button. There are several makers - mine is made by NEW YORK CITY BUTTON WORKS.

The back says "lenoro mass" and what looks like "D evans & co" but its not real clear

I have found several silver coins that were made into buttons.that dime looks just like them.cool find !!!

It looks almost perfect the way ots bent in toblike a bowl shape

I think you know that the button with the eagle is Great Seal button. Goggle it, been used since WW1 or so...

The other "button" sure looks like a Barber dime that has been "domed" and had a shank welded to the back. Is that what it looks like to you?

I see "United States of America" on it... it's just gotta be a Barber dime. Can you see reverse details? Is it silver?

After further thought, I am certain that is a Barber dime "home made" button.

You can dome a coin by heating it, then putting pressure on it, usually with a hydraulic press and a die. That is the first part of making a coin into a ring.

I have seen several Spanish reals that were made into buttons and cufflinks.

Yeah you can see it says dime on the leafy thing on the back and the loop looks like its copper but homemade. On the front you can see the 1900. But with te other i didnt know.it was a great seal or i didnt know thats what it was called. But is there any value to the two?
