History: 1957.:laughing7:

The City of Cape Coral was a wet dream by the Rosen Brothers when they chartered a Cessna flight over the badlands, west of the Caloosahatchie River..
By 1961 there was a new city being built.... Population now 150,000, give or take...

I can't find any image or likeness of this piece, I may donate it to the hysterical society of Cape Coral.

That's a great find Dave, and would be a great gesture.[emoji482]

Really Dave? Is there nothing you won't do to stay on the banner?

I grew up in Cape Coral in the 70's and 80's. That is a cool piece of history. Always nice to see the finds you get from my old stomping grounds.

Moved to Fort Myers in the early 60's. Cape Coral was just getting off the ground at that point. My dad was working there as an electrician on the new homes. Del Prado was still a dirt road back then.

The reverse side of what I think was a keychain reads;

been going down there for 20 years now. I own one of the first houses built there.

Welcome to the forum! I suppose your place is pretty close to the Yacht Club.... The street is a name, not a number!
I've hunted the YC beach a few times...snooze fest.
