The first site that I hit this morning was a 1950 home. I started a grid search of the front yard and got my search coil over a nice chunky 925 silver ring and found a girl scout pin and a couple of wheat pennies before the owner showed up. He had several guys with him to help with getting the house ready for the next renters. They were making all kinds of racket so I left for a quieter place to detect until they leave.

The next site that I went to was a 1952 home. Right out of the gate I found a wheat penny and the very next target turned out to be a 1941 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. The VDI numbers on the F75 were rolling between 88 and 89. That was a happy surprise! My next silver coin was a 1945 Mercury Dime. Its VDI numbers were rolling between 75 and 76.

Not wanting to over do it, I headed for the house.

This was my 56th hunt for the year and my silver coin total for the year now stands at 166. All done without getting skunked on a single hunt.

My F75DST detector settings: 9.0, Sensitivity 85, DE Mode, 4H Tones, Disc Level 0, GB 60. Cibola settings: Discrimination set just high enough to barely discriminate out a nail, full sensitivity, a tad negative on GB and a sight threshold.

Congrats on another great hunt

You should write a book... I'd buy it
Thanks! Save your money, just look for good sites to detect.

It looks like you dig just about every derned thing that goes beep... White bucket lid is a nice TOOL in the kit.
Yeah, I dig a lot of trash when I'm on the prowl for gold rings.

Beautiful silver coins you found and with a 166 SILVERS FOR THE YEAR...THATS INCREDIBLE! Keep going strong!!!
Thanks! I heard tales of old timers leaving school yards with pockets full of silver coins.

Some great finds on a already great year  What do you most attribute to your success? Tools, research, instincts...? Any quick tips?
Thanks! Location, location, location.

Beautiful silver coins.. Congratulations!
Thanks!

Thanks!

Is 9.0 DST off? (I can never keep that straight)

Thanks! I really like finding rings.

Is 9.0 DST off? (I can never keep that straight)
I keep mine set at '9.0'. I think that's off, but I wouldn't bet my life on it. Fisher really screwed this one up. It would have been much better to have 'DST ON" and 'DST OFF'. I'd like to hear what Dave Johnson has to say about which one is on and off and why there are two positions. Not a bunch hearsay.

Killer silver hunt!!
Thanks! I get lucky every once in awhile.

Amen re your comment on DST and 9.0 vs. 9.1. I have no udea what is what anymore based on all the hearsay posts that the manual has it backwards. Trial and error I guess if EMI rears its ugly head. Just don't want to unnecessarily lose depth performance if its not needed.
