I went after work today to the spot that keeps producing killer finds and I think I topped all of them!! I found the eagle button first, and then about 40 feet away the sword handle was in 3 pieces about 10 feet apart from each other. Rang up a huge loud 95 on the Deus, thought it was a big nail til I dug it up. Would love some help on the ID of the sword. I really enjoy all of your finds and I hope you enjoy mine. Going back in the AM!! :) IMG_20160527_195043.jpg IMG_20160527_195242.jpg IMG_20160527_195206.jpg IMG_20160527_195154.jpg IMG_20160527_195143.jpg IMG_20160527_195137.jpg IMG_20160527_195126.jpg IMG_20160527_195122.jpg IMG_20160527_195113.jpg IMG_20160527_195105.jpg IMG_20160527_195054.jpg IMG_20160527_195247.jpg

I cast my Banner Vote, this is indeed not something you see every year. Would be neat if a broken part of the blade showed up in that area. Again, very nice find.

Thanks to everyone for looking and the positive compliments!! :) This was one of my best days in this obsession, if not the best!! Can't wait to go back, it's only a few miles away but on a bad note I got poison ivy from arms to ankles and everywhere else :) Well worth it!!

I was speechless when it came out of the ground.....didn't realize what it was at first and then when I did I started breathing like a little kid that sees a huge chocolate cake coming their way.....LOL!! :) I am trying to do a lot of research on this area because this handle was across the street from the spot I found the Regiment of Foot buttons and the silver fob seal with the lion intaglio. I'm wondering if there was a skirmish??? All I can do is read up and keep digging.

Hey everybody!! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a British officer's sword?? I have seen some on the web that look very similar....Any help would be greatly appreciated...Maybe Crusader?? :)
