Down in the dumps - a brass pump mechanism and a TINY TINY BOTTLE!!!

Went back to my favorite dump today. First time this year in fact that I went digging in it. Found a few OK bottles. Also lying on the surface was an old straight edge corner, with BRASS INLAY! I'm surprised it survived that long. The wood part is only like half gone. If I can't end up saving it, I'll still save the brass pieces. Then there was this cool pump mechanism. Does anybody know what it might have went too?
Lastly, I found the absolute tiniest bottle I'd ever seen! It is shaped just like a demijohn jug, except like 100 times smaller! It also appears to be hand blown. (If that's possible?) The lip is applied, and the neck and body slope to one side. I just wonder if it was a toy or what?
Oh yes, and ALWAYS happy to find a complete cream bottle!!!

It appears to! Really strange how someone would bother to blow a bottle that small and attach a lip. I might post it in bottles section later. If you notice though, there is no seam, and the whole bottle slants to one side, and there is an uneven tool mark on the lip. I'm psyched at how small it is though!

Must of been a perfume bottle I guess. Either that or some kind of portable ink bottle. Either way it would be my favorite bottle if it were mine.

Great finds. That's just about the smallest bottle I think I've ever seen.

I found an pretty nice old bottle dump last year I intended to go back and hunt again this year. I went back about a month ago and it's been completely cleared, bulldozed under and paved over to make way for about 40 Mc'Mansions. I really hate to see cool old stuff lost forever.
    What a waste...

That is definitely a high tank toilet fill valve...I know this because I found one too and it cleaned up really nice after a trip through my tumbler.
I bet it would work as well as the day it was made if I hooked it up...these were from the era when things were designed to last.
Mine is heavy, brass with copper pins, looks great and yours will too if you get the dirt and tarnish off of it.

A friend of mine years ago took one of those old valves and mounted it through the bottom of a stainless trough with the float pointed straight down. He hooked it up to a garden hose, set it on a little stand and used it as a self filling dog water trough. I keep thinking I'll do the same one day.....
