20160915_133414.jpg 20160915_133429.jpg Got permission to detect a new spot this week with 6-7 old foundations.. Really grown up and high weeds, found an old wheat
with no date and a Indianhead with no date. Even though it had been picked many, many times, I knew there should be at least one barber there.. Went back 4 days later and had a good silver dime/quarter reading... thinking I found another barber dime or quarter , 7 inches down, was surprised to pull my first seated quarter 1876-S.... detecting 27 years part time, only my third time posting, pardon the photos...LOL

Wonderful seated quarter. Lady Liberty seated with a pole with a Phrygian cap atop. A lot of people perhaps wonder about the cap featured throughout early US coinage. It's actually a symbol of freedom from Europe dating back to perhaps ancient times.

Congrats!
