The large picnic grove is part of Himmel's Church. The log church built in 1774; the stone church built 1817; the frame church built in 1903 (destroyed by a fire in 1959); the present brick church built in 1960.

Just one of those Sites I go to when I just don't Care :tongue3:

If I hit it twice a year , I'm over doing it :laughing7:

It's like the field up here in My town.
Hunt it & get Skunked 10 times in a row.
But on the next hunt Colonials, large Cents, Spanish Silver or
an other goodie pops up .

I just know there is more There, I just can't swing over it.

Pretty Sure I did.
but can't find it.
There is no History of the grove.
Other then a Grounds keeper once told me it was smaller and
along the Creek.

back Then.

Knowing the history of the property as you do it would be hard for me to,walk away. Somewhere on the property are more great finds. You just need to find the next hot spot, it's there.

yes ! It's the reason I do go back occasionally .
Right Weather, ground conditions, Mental attitude on how I swing my detector.
and Luck on swinging over the right spot the right direction May give me a few
extra Special Goodies :icon_thumright:

sadly it wasn't yesterday
