I have decided to return to one of my favorite hobbies recently - metal detecting. As some of you probably know I used to be quite active and have taken around half the year off mainly due to the fact that school kept me overwhelmed with busy work (I was the guy who pulled up that 1837 fifty cent piece in near mint condition last year). Now, on to the interesting stuff...

My father and I have been digging a new 1700s site recently, and have not pulled anything of interest out of the ground until now.

It certainly isn't 1700s but it is a WW1 era German Prussian belt buckle piece. I have no clue how or why this item could possibly end up in the boondocks of Vermont.

HH and I hope to bring you more interesting finds in the future! Going out this weekend to hopefully end the year with a bang!
