Not sure if this was karma or what, but last Saturday I had to meet a guy about a thing before I could go detecting. I was running early so I was going to stop at a school near the meeting place and detect for a bit. Near the school I saw a sign that the Red Cross was having a blood drive so instead of detecting before the meet I decided to give blood.

After I gave blood and took care of my personal business I went detecting at a new location. I didn’t find a whole lot but towards the end of the hunt I did find 2 silver dimes in one hole. (A Merc and a Rosie.) I won’t bother with pics since we all know what they look like.

I will say this. If you ever give blood, DON'T go detecting right afterwards. :laughing7: There were a lot of roots in this yard and digging was tough. I could barely get through a hole without getting extremely winded. I was pretty beat the next couple of days.

Congrats on scoring a couple of silver coins, and I don't get tired of seeing the same thing over and over (think: girls).

Good on you for donating blood too. Sure sounds like Karma to me.

I hope that you are doing well sir!

Congrats on those silvers, I have learned not to do much after donating blood for about 24 hours.

The karma for giving blood is greater then a few silver dimes. Hat off to those who give the gift of life.

Karma is way more powerful than most people think. If your living right, good things will happen. Even if they don't, you've done the right thing. Punch that ticket.

I donate once in a while, but when I was younger I gave plasma all the time because they pay you for it and I neede the dough. Well, one time I decided it was a good idea to buy a case of beer with my plasma money and get drunk. Man, I NEVER have felt worse. What an idiot I was lol.

Thanks everyone. I have donated in MANY years. I have been meaning to for a while but could never find the time. Luckily the opportunity presented itself. Hopefully I can make it a fairly regular thing.

For those of you with rarer blood types it's really important to donate if you're able.
