Found this oddity on the New Jersey shore. Not worth anything, but interesting nevertheless. I just wonder if anyone here has seen one before and why did they make them? I guess it's a souvenir item from the track. Dime is for size reference. Hope all here have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1482605086.602395.jpg

If they are similar to the early badges I have found, its membership which gives access to privileged areas of the track, thats why its numbered. (Member number 7)

I think it might be a lucky charm- race number 7-date: July 7,1977 (7/7/77)-number7 horse, etc.

So, I guess it was part of a money clip?
Thanks for the help in identifying the find. Happy New Year to all.
