I went solo back to the hayfield, hunted for about three hours. I found a toasty copper that looks like a 1723 King George, a gold gilt button, ball button, and a couple thimbles. I think the one is a tailors thimble, but it cleaned up and it's kind of thick. IDK for sure. Nice weather, I was just hunting in a long sleeve tee shirt. I'll try it again tomorrow, I don't think I'll be in a tee shirt tomorrow.
Enjoy the pix
I'm going to put a couple pix of what the toasty KG should look like.

Thanks all you guys, this site is huge and loaded with iron. The weather conditions have been helping me considerably by keeping the soil wet. The place just keeps giving it up. I'm going there tomorrow with one of the guys I was hunting with Mon. the other guy hunts at night because of work. I might be there tomorrow night with him also. (he has to ask his wife)

38 degrees right now, tomorrows high is 37, I think I seen some upcoming snow in the 5 day forecast. Last couple winters have been good to me, I hope for the best, is what it is.

Good job brad, that's a nice old KG!

KG1's are hard to come by, and even more difficult to come by in good shape. I've found 1/2 dozen but only one is decent enough to display. Cheers buddy on the nice recoveries
