I had more some time to detect, so I headed back out to my yard to the same spot where I have been finding a lot of flat buttons recently. After a few minutes I got a good mid-tone and dug another flat button.

This is the front. It is plain and the button is made of brass.

This is the back. It say something about "Guilt" and "London"

After a few more minutes I got a pretty good mid-tone. I dug the plug and soon located the target. I dug with my small hand shovel and a small green disc popped out. After wiping off the dirt, expecting it to be a button, I was surprised when it did have not anything at all resembling a shank. I sprayed it off using a water sprayer. "Could it be an Indian?" I thought, but no Indian head appeared. What did appear was some curved lines. Then I began to think that it resembled a Flying Eagle. I brought it inside and cleaned it. Sure enough it was an Eagle! After some more cleaning a faint 8 appeared, so it must be an 1858! WOOO! I'm still pumped! I was never expecting to find a Flying Eagle!

This is the front. Although it is really toasted, you can still tell is a Flying Eagle!

Here is the back. It is really toasted, just like the front but you can still see "cent" faintly.

Thank you for reading!
Good Luck & Happy Hunting!
