I went to my favorite park in Eugene Oregon today ~ Skinner Butte Park ~ I always seem to pull out a few oldies from there! 1951-D quarter, 1955 dime, dateless Indian Head Cent, a couple wheats cents, about three dollars in clad, and a cheesy looking pot-metal class ring with red stone (there's a marking inside the band ~ a "U" with an arrow through it) only says "HIGH SCHOOL" ~ no year nor school name. Anyone see such a ring before?

Great finds, silver and a ring! No idea what the symbol is. Good luck on your next hunt.

I decided to put the Indian Head cent in with all the other cents I've found in my rock tumbler ~ it actually cleaned it up enough to see the date 1904. It's got to be the ugliest IHC that I've ever dug!

Nice going on the silver. To bad about the dead IH. The ring can be bought at places like WalMart, K-Mart and a few other stores. They have to be ordered. Its sold to replace lost rings or to people that never had a HS ring. Nice find anyway.

Those generic high school rings used to be sold at the 5 and 10 stores. I remember because I bought one from G.C. Murphy's when I was in the sixth grade. No idea why except I thought they were very cool. I thing it was about 3.00. Of course that was 1967.

1904 must a been a bad year for IH's. :P My first was 1904 and it looked purdy ugly too. But it was my first and I was so proud of it! :D I did the same as you and tumbled that booger. Now I can read the date. ;D

Congrats on all those finds!! Nana :)
