Like most people on here its so hard to sit inside I'd rather be out digging holes...at midnight last night I came across a program for my XP deus I wanted to try. All the kids were in bed. Lady was out with friends...so I put on the spot lights and head lamp went in my back yard and dugg these two fellas up. Poor guy lost his head.which was not my doing 100% positive. They were about 9 inch down

Great recoveries on those soldiers!
Those appear to be Barclay soldiers from the 1930's. When you were digging those were you running across any sand? If so, you may be in the area of a kids sandbox from back in the day which could yield more vintage toys.

digging in the dark is a sure sign of an addiction......BTW cool finds.
And might I add that digging in the back yard and finding what you found is a sure sign of living in the right place!
